DESCRIPTION:
This form is fully prepared for enamelling. The form is meticulously filed and finished, designed specifically for the Plique-à-jour enamelling. These forms provide the essential framework required to create transparent, stained-glass-like enamel jewelry without a metal backing. Crucially, the base silver has been fully cleaned of copper residue, making it safe for all enamel colors without fear of discoloration.
Includes a securely soldered eyelet as the finished attachment point. Please note: Earring findings or pendant bail are not included and must be fastened by the user before wearing.
USAGE INSTRUCTION:
Use a fine tool to apply wet enamel paste (mixed with distilled water or Klyr-Fire) directly onto the holes.
After applying the enamel to each hole, you must carefully dry the piece. This step is essential to prevent the wet enamel from running or falling out of the holes before firing.
Apply one layer of wet-packed enamel to the top side, then fire the piece. For subsequent layers, alternate application and firing sides to build up the thickness evenly and fill the windows completely.
The piece should be firing using 3 point metal trivet.
