Place your enameled piece near the open kiln door or on top of a warm kiln to pre-heat. To dry off the oil faster: place the piece inside a hot kiln for 3–5 seconds, pull it out, and repeat this process 2–3 times until the oil stops smoking and the surface appears dry and matte.
